HUNTING RATES 2008:
The 2008 Hunting Season starts off with the bugling of elk the first week of September.
We offer a variety of hunting experiences from a fully guided hunt to an unguided hunt. We have two camps for our guided hunts and our unguided hunters stay in cabins in the mountains. We are dedicated to providing a successful, first class trip for each of our hunters. We take pride in our ranch, camps, stock, and employees. We would like to share our commitment of quality and dedication by providing you a memorable hunt. Photo of Snowcrest Mountains at the ranch.
GUIDED HUNTS:
All our guided hunts are six nights and five full hunting days. They include transportation to and from Bozeman, three home cooked meals per day, comfortable lodging and your own personal guide on a two-on-one rifle hunt and two-on-one archery hunt. It does not include the hunter’s license, transportation to Montana, taxidermy, meat processing, gratuity and lodging in Bozeman before the hunt starts. We have experienced, well-qualified guides who know the country and understand animal habitat.
BACK COUNTRY CAMP HUNTS:
Our Back Country Camp is located in the Devil’s Hole in the Snowcrest Mtn. Range. It is a 15 mile 4-wheel drive trip from the main lodge and an additional 4 mile horseback ride into camp. Tents are equipped with wood stoves, lanterns, and cots. This area is accessible by horseback or foot only, limiting the number of hunters in the area. The principal game we pursue is elk, this is a special permit area for mule deer and the lucky hunters with these permits always take a trophy mule deer.

GUIDED LODGE HUNTS:
Hunting from the lodge gives you access to the Snowcrest, Greenhorn, and Gravelly Mtn. ranges. This versatility enables Upper Canyon Outfitters to bring the hunters to the game. Hunting is done mainly by horseback, but we also use 4-wheel drive, ATV’s and always some hiking, depending on the location of the elk. After your all day hunt, you can return to a warm, private room and a hot meal. We can arrange to accommodate non-hunting guests who desire a western experience.
