Upper Canyon Outfitters is nestled between three major Rocky Mountain Ranges, the Snowcrest Range on the south, the Greenhorns on the north and the Gravellys just to the east.  The three mountain ranges come together to form a canyon right at our ranch and that is how we became known as the Upper Canyon Ranch.  The Ruby River flows between the mountains through our property for over two miles.  On a topographic map you will find us as the “Tate Place”   we are the third generation on the ranch.  We are on the edge of the Beaverhead National Forest and twenty four miles south of Alder, Montana.
I do hope this helps you to pin-point our location.  When you live in the mountains and your neighbor is the wildlife surrounding the ranch – you don’t need a street address.

Driving directions from Alder, MT

Once in Alder, turn towards the Ruby Dam.  Once past the Ruby Dam, the road will turn to gravel.  Follow this gravel road 12.5 miles.  Always keep to the left when the road forks.  You will see our sign for Upper Canyon Outfitters.  We are on the right side of the road.
